About Us

The idea for TriStar Services emerged from the unprecedented challenges faced by the food supply chain during the COVID-19 shutdown in February 2020. Food exports ground to a halt, and cold storage facilities along the I-95 corridor from New York to Philadelphia were instantly overwhelmed. Hundreds of containers arrived at the East Coast with nowhere to go, and within days, cold stores were completely full. Our USDA-inspected facility in Belcamp, Maryland, which had previously only served our own export and import needs, found itself at a critical crossroads.

Simultaneously, federal food programs required third-party providers to assemble food kits for families impacted by the pandemic. The processes involved in this effort were remarkably similar to the work our management team had been performing for decades within the export business.
